The mountain bike DNA running through the veins of this lightweight sports touring bike results in 'Monster Cross' type machine that offers the versatility to take you wherever you will.

The same lightweight Reynolds 725 steel frame is used on the MT build as other Darwins, but the forks are switched out for a longer, wider 'MT' type fork.  This raises the BB height, slackens the head angle and allows wider MTB tyres to used. (up to 2.25" on 29" (700C) or 2.35" on 27.5" (650B) wheel options.)

SRAM's off-road biased high-performance ‘1X’ gear system in the Rival 1X series, uses a single front chainwheel, driving a wide ratio, 11spd rear cassette, to delivers a useful spread of gears, in a simple to use, lightweight package.

Wrapped in Genetic's luxurious comfort enhancing Silicone tape are Digest 'Off-Road-Drop' handlebars which give a control enhancing, super-wide profile in the drops.  For those who prefer a non-drop handlebar set-up, Tioga flat handlebars are also an option. Genetic's sporty STV saddle offers completes the quality set of contact points. 

International Standard 160mm discs delivers braking confidence in all conditions with cable operated TRP Spyre calipers or upgrade to a full hydraulic SRAM system for the ultimate in stopping ability. 

Halo’s premium level Vapour GXC Supadrive wheelsets can be selected in standard 29" (700C) or the smaller diameter 27.5" (650B) sizes (giving a lower overall ride height).  Standard tyre choice is either Halo's smooth rolling Twin Rail 2.2" or Schwalbe's Rapid Rob off-road 2.25" tyre.  Halo's Vapour rims are also future compatible with tubeless tyres.
